"My connection to the coastal region of Karnataka is profound," Golden Star Ganesh reflects on his journey in the Kannada film industry. "The director, producer, and music director of my debut film, Chellata, all hailed from Mangaluru. Fate brought me back to Karavali time and again, where I eventually married Shilpa, a native of the region. Over time, my affinity for Tulu culture and the land of Parashurama Srishti has deepened. Three years ago, during an event in Mangaluru, I expressed my aspiration to create a Tulu film. Now, this dream is materializing as Shilpa and I gear up to work on our Tulu film," Ganesh discloses.

Reflecting on the cultural impact of his mother-in-law, Ganesh shares, "She often shares Tulu plays, Yakshagana performances, and clips from Tulu films with me. The talent in the Tulu industry amazes me, particularly their impeccable comic timing. Working alongside remarkable actors like Aravind Bolar and Arjun Kapikad has been a privilege, witnessing their brilliance firsthand. I am excited to collaborate with Sandeep Bedra as our director, Nityaprakash Bantwal as the lead actor, Mohan Bhatkal as the scriptwriter, and Santosh Rai Pathaje as the cinematographer — all of whom have left their mark in the film industry," he adds. One highlight of the project is Ganesh's cameo role in the film, marking his debut in Tulu cinema. "I am fluent in Tulu and understand it well, so you can expect me to deliver a few dialogues," he chuckles.

"Our Tulu film will showcase Karavali, much like Mungaru Male did for Coorg," Shilpa Ganesh expresses, emphasizing the personal significance of the film as a tribute to her roots. "Growing up in Dubai, I would return home for vacations, and my aunts would take my mom and me to watch Tulu drama at the Town Hall."Located in Mangaluru, an area abundant in culture and art, much of its potential still lies unexplored. Through this film, our aim is to shine a spotlight on Mangaluru, much like "Mungaru Male" did for Coorg, highlighting its tourism, art, culture, and the linguistic excellence of Karavali,” expresses Shilpa.
